Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. is now in the process of drawing up a new medium-term management plan to replace its current three-year plan, which expires at the end of March 2011. We recently decided on the basic direction of this new plan, which will be implemented from April 1, 2011, and guide the company’s management over the next three fiscal years (FY2012–2014). |

Sharp Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Sharp”) and Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Fuyo”) announced in a “Notification of Basic Agreement Regarding Partial Stock Transfer and Acquisition of Sharp Finance Corporation” dated December 26, 2007, that Sharp and Fuyo had reached a basic agreement under which Sharp will transfer to Fuyo 65% of the stock of Sharp Finance Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sharp. |

Sharp Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Sharp”) and Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Fuyo”) announce today, as described in detail below, that Sharp and Fuyo have reached a basic agreement. Under this agreement, Sharp will transfer to Fuyo 65% of the stock of Sharp Finance Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Sharp Finance”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Sharp.
Both companies will continue negotiating specific conditions, with the actual transfer of stock taking place on April 1, 2008. |
