Privacy Policy

Based on the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and related laws and regulations (hereinafter referred to as “Laws and Regulations, etc.”), Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) has enacted and published the following Personal Information Protection Policy (hereinafter referred to as the/this “Policy”) concerning the protection of personal information of shareholders in order to ensure the appropriate protection and use of personal information.

1.Policy

We recognize the proper protection and use of personal information as an important social responsibility, and in addition to Laws and Regulations, etc., as we undertake various business tasks, we will endeavor to comply with this Policy and other Company rules and regulations and to protect and use shareholder personal information appropriately.

2.Appropriate Acquisition

We will acquire shareholder personal information by appropriate and lawful means to the extent necessary for our business.

3.Purpose of Use

In addition to specifying the purpose of use of shareholder personal information, we will handle it to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use, and we will not handle it beyond that scope. In addition, if the purpose of using specific personal information, such as the specific personal information specified in the “Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures” (hereinafter referred to as the “Numbers Act”), is limited based on Laws and Regulations, etc., we will not handle it for other purposes of use.

4.Restrictions on Third-Party Provision

In principle, we will not provide shareholder personal information to a third party unless the shareholder has given us their consent or we are required to based on Laws and Regulations, etc. However, we may provide shareholder personal information without the shareholder's consent when we subcontract the handling of shareholder personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use. In addition, we will not provide the specific personal information specified in the Numbers Act to a third party except in the limited cases specified in the same law.

5.Safety Management Measures

We strive to store and manage shareholder personal information accurately and in an up-to-date state, and we implement reasonable safety management measures as follows to prevent leakage of shareholder personal information and for other safety management.

    This Policy is formulated to ensure the proper handling of personal information.

  • (2)

    For each stage of acquisition, use, storage, provision, deletion, and disposal, we will formulate and comply with rules and procedures regarding the handling of personal information, the person responsible/person in charge, and their duties, etc.

  • (3)

    We have established a person responsible for the handling of personal information, and have established a system for reporting to the person responsible when we learn of facts or signs that violate Laws and Regulations, etc. this Policy, or the Company’s various regulations.

  • (4)

    The Rules of Employment stipulate matters concerning the confidentiality of personal information.

  • (5)

    We will properly supervise the employees and contractors who handle shareholder personal information.

  • (6)

    When handling shareholder personal information in a foreign country, we collect and understand information on the personal information protection system of the foreign country, and implement safety management measures.

6.Continuous Improvement

We will review this Policy as appropriate in light of developments in information technology and changes in social demands, inspect and audit the handling of shareholder personal information, and strive for continuous improvement.

7.Procedure for Request for Disclosure, etc.

The Company will endeavor to respond appropriately and promptly to requests for (i) Notice of the purpose of use of the personal data held about shareholders; (ii) Requests for disclosure of personal data held and the contents of third-party records provided for in Laws and Regulations, etc.; (iii) Requests for correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, deletion, suspension of third-party provision, etc. when the contents of the personal data held are contrary to the facts, etc.

8.Submission of Comments and Requests

Opening hours are from 9 am to 12 noon and from 1 pm to 5.20 pm Monday to Friday.
