Privacy Policy

Based on the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and related laws and regulations (hereinafter referred to as “Laws and Regulations, etc.”), Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) has enacted and published the following Personal Information Protection Policy (hereinafter referred to as the/this “Policy”) concerning the protection of personal information of customers in order to ensure the appropriate protection and use of personal information.

3. Purpose of Use

In addition to specifying the purpose of use of customer personal information, we will handle it to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use, and we will not handle it beyond that scope. 4. Restrictions on Third-Party Provision

In principle, we will not provide customer personal information to a third party unless the customer has given us their consent or we are required to based on Laws and Regulations, etc. However, we may provide customer personal information without the customer's consent when we subcontract the handling of customer personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use, or when we make joint use of customer personal information as specified in the following paragraph. In addition, we will not provide the specific personal information specified in the Numbers Act to a third party except in the limited cases specified in the same law.

5. Joint Use

We will use customer personal information jointly with each company in our Group as follows. However, we will not jointly use the specific personal information specified in the Numbers Act.

(2) With the customer's consent, personal information based on objective transaction facts related to the contract will be registered with the personal credit information institution CIC of which the Company is a member for the period specified in the following table, and will be used by the members of the personal credit information institutions described in (1) above.

7. Handling of Sensitive Information

We will not acquire, use, or provide third parties with sensitive information about the customer (such as information about race, creed, social status, medical history, health insurance, trade union membership, residence, registered domicile, etc.) except in accordance with Laws and Regulations, etc. or when we have received the customer's consent to the extent necessary for the performance of the work.

8. Safety Management Measures

We strive to store and manage customer personal information accurately and in an up-to-date state, and we implement reasonable safety management measures as follows to prevent leakage of customer personal information and for other safety management.

    This Policy is formulated to ensure the proper handling of personal information.

    For each stage of acquisition, use, storage, provision, deletion, and disposal, we will formulate and comply with rules and procedures regarding the handling of personal information, the person responsible/person in charge, and their duties, etc.

We will review this Policy as appropriate in light of developments in information technology and changes in social demands, inspect and audit the handling of customer personal information, and strive for continuous improvement.

10.Procedure for Requests for Disclosure, etc.

The Company will endeavor to respond appropriately and promptly to requests for (i) Notice of the purpose of use of the personal data held about customers; (ii) Requests for disclosure of personal data held and the contents of third-party records provided for in Laws and Regulations, etc.; (iii) Requests for correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, deletion, suspension of third-party provision, etc. when the contents of the personal data held are contrary to the facts, etc.

Purpose of use related to the handling of personal information

When handling customer personal information, Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. will handle it within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use related to the following business contents, and will not handle it beyond that scope, unless the customer has given their consent in advance after specifying the purpose of use separately or if permitted by law. In addition, if the purpose of use of specific personal information is limited based on Laws and Regulations, etc., we will not handle it for any purpose of use other than that.

Procedure for responding to “Requests for Disclosure, etc.”

If Fuyo General Lease Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) receives a request as described in 1. from the Customer or his/her agent in accordance with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” with respect to the retained personal data and the third-party provided records stipulated by Laws and Regulations, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Retained Personal Data, etc.”), the Company shall respond according to the procedure described in 2. below.

At the time of submission, please provide a valid document that officially certifies your identity, such as a driver’s license, passport, health insurance card, national pension notebook, welfare pension notebook, foreigner registration certificate, etc.
If you request Disclosure, etc. through an agent, in addition to the above, please present the above documents for the agent and documents to confirm that the agent has the power of representation.

4.Fees and payment methods for requesting disclosure of Retained Personal Data, etc.

For each application, 1,000 yen (including consumption tax, etc.) must be paid in cash.

5.How we Respond to Requests for Disclosure, etc.

We will respond to customer requests for Disclosure, etc. of personal information by either (1) mailing the document to the customer's address, (2) sending the Excel file to the customer's email address by attaching it to an email, or (3) mailing a storage medium in which the Excel file is recorded to the customer's address, depending on the method specified by the customer.
In principle, even if the request is made by an agent, we will respond directly to the person in question. Please understand this in advance.

6.“Purpose of Use” of Personal Information Acquired in Connection with a Request for Disclosure, etc.

Personal information acquired in connection with a request for Disclosure, etc. shall be handled only to the extent necessary for the request for Disclosure, etc.
